Volunteers of the British public organization "Ukraine UK Unity" — "Unity of Ukraine and Great Britain" presented servicemen and women of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who were trained as part of the multinational training operation "INTERFLEX" under the leadership of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and their international instructors from the Armed Forces of New Zealand NZ Defense Force and the Armed Forces of Great Britain HM Armed Forces positive emotions, smiles and hope during the unforgettable completion of the initial course

At the Mayor’s Parlour, local resident Irina Creeger was presented with a special “Lieutenancy Appreciation Award” on behalf of His Majesty Lord Lieutenant of Surrey by the Deputy Lieutenant, Shahid Azeem, for her outstanding work helping Ukrainians fleeing the war to Surrey.

Irina has championed the Ukrainian response in Woking and beyond, helping and supporting refugees including over 1,000 families in Surrey and Woking.

As the founder of Ukraine UK Unity, Irina also runs a Ukrainian Hub at The Lighthouse, has helped match many families through the Homes for Ukraine Scheme and set up English classes for Ukrainians.
